加能史料 戦国Ⅴ(Kano Historical Resources, Sengoku V, Honfukuji Atogaki)
「本福寺跡書」 ナニヲモテ申サンヤ、クダル~トイフテ、ツケクタリニクダラレタルトカヤ、(pp.44-45) This is a fairly unusual document, not least because it mentions the presence of Ganshō, a priest and member of Shōkōji (as well as the Enuma-gun Gunchū). Ganshō had begun his career as a retainer to the Ikke shū based at Shōkōji. We know that he had reached some degree of social responsibility, to the extent that he had been sent down to Kyoto. Just why he was in Kyoto is not very clear. On the one hand, it appears that he visited a number of dignitaries, yet Ganshō made no secret of the fact that he wanted to return to Kaga as soon as possible, saying that `going from here to there is a great nuisance`. The other point that many have questioned is whether `meshi` refers either to a meal, or whether it is talking about an invitation. While the first `meshi` does seem to point towards a meal, the second use of `meshi` seems more directed at an invitation, probably from shōen daikan wanting to sure up some of their earnings from Kaga by asking Ganshō to return intercede with the local Monto on their behalf. |
